mPanchang Kundli Matching: What It Does and Where to Go Next

By KundliMilan Editorial

Last updated: May 2026

What mPanchang kundli matching actually does

mPanchang is primarily a panchang — a daily almanac for auspicious timings, tithi, nakshatra, yoga, and muhurat. Kundli matching is a secondary feature. But it works. Enter both partners' birth date, time, and place, and mPanchang computes a standard Ashtakoot score out of 36 with a per-koota breakdown.

The score is correct for the basic 8-koota system. Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, and Nadi — all computed using standard Parashari rules. If your score from mPanchang is 22, that number is reliable. Same if it says 18 or 28.

It also flags doshas. Nadi dosha appears if both partners share the same Nadi. Manglik is noted if Mars occupies specific houses. Both flags are accurate. But a flag is not analysis.

Where mPanchang genuinely excels: muhurat

If you want auspicious wedding dates, engagement timings, or ceremony muhurat — mPanchang is excellent. Their panchang data is updated daily and covers tithi, nakshatra, yoga, and karana combinations with traditional Vivah muhurat guidelines. This is where the tool earns its reputation.

But muhurat is not kundli matching. These are two different checks. The kundli matching feature exists on mPanchang because users expect it. It was not built as the primary product.

For 2026 muhurat dates specifically, see our dedicated Vivah Muhurat 2026 guide with dates through June before Chaturmas.

What mPanchang kundli matching cannot tell you

Four things the tool skips entirely:

  • Nadi dosha cancellation. mPanchang will flag Nadi dosha if both partners share the same Nadi. It will not check whether classical cancellation conditions apply — same nakshatra lord, specific sign combinations, or birth in the same nakshatra but different padas. Nadi dosha carries 8 of 36 points, the highest single weight in Ashtakoot. A cancellation check is not optional. See our Nadi dosha guide for what cancellation actually requires.
  • Manglik severity and cancellation. mPanchang shows "Manglik: Yes" when Mars occupies the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house. But which house determines severity. Mars in the 8th is treated differently from Mars in the 12th. And multiple cancellation rules apply depending on sign, aspect, and partner chart combination. The flag tells you nothing about severity or whether it is cancelled.
  • Dasha compatibility. Both partners' current and upcoming planetary periods affect when marriage is appropriate, how early years will be, and which phases require conscious effort. No automated tool checks this.
  • Chart-specific interpretation. A score of 20/36 with specific cancellations in Bhakoot and a strong 7th house is very different from a 20/36 with active doshas and a weak 7th lord. The number is identical. The meaning is not.

When the mPanchang score is enough

If the score is 24 or above and no doshas are flagged, many families proceed without further checks. That is often reasonable. A clean score above 24 with no Nadi or Manglik flag means the basic compatibility picture is positive.

But if the score is below 24, or Nadi dosha appears, or one partner is Manglik, or this is a love marriage with family pressure: a free automated score is not the right tool for the final call. It is a starting point that needs verification.

Check our guna score interpreter to understand what your specific score band means. And if any concern appears, get expert verification at Rs249 — less than the cost of one round of family stress.

mPanchang vs dedicated kundli matching: the honest comparison

mPanchang is a panchang tool that includes kundli matching. That is not a criticism — it is just the product truth. The matching feature gives you the right score. It does not give you the depth that a marriage decision requires when complications appear.

KundliMilan is built specifically for kundli matching with expert verification. The difference: after the automated score, a qualified expert checks dosha cancellation conditions, Manglik severity, dasha compatibility, and recommends muhurat. That is the part a panchang tool cannot do, and the part most families need when the score is below 26 or any dosha appears.

FAQ

Is mPanchang kundli matching accurate?

mPanchang produces a correct Ashtakoot score for the basic 8-koota system. The score calculation is reliable. What it does not do is verify Nadi dosha cancellations, assess Manglik severity, or provide chart-level expert interpretation. For a preliminary number, it works. For a marriage decision, it is not sufficient by itself.

How does mPanchang kundli matching work?

You enter birth date, time, and place for both partners. mPanchang computes the Ashtakoot score out of 36 by checking all 8 kootas: Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, and Nadi. The result includes each koota score and a total. Dosha indicators (Manglik, Nadi) are flagged but not analyzed in depth.

What is mPanchang best used for?

mPanchang's core strength is muhurat — auspicious timing for ceremonies, events, and rituals. Their panchang data is detailed and trustworthy. For quick kundli matching, it works as a starting point. But for a marriage decision, dedicated expert matching gives the depth that panchang tools cannot.

Does mPanchang check Nadi dosha?

mPanchang flags whether Nadi dosha is present (same Nadi for both partners) but does not check cancellation conditions. Nadi dosha can be cancelled under specific classical rules involving nakshatra lord matching and sign combinations. A flag is not a verdict — an expert needs to verify whether the dosha is actual or cancelled.

What should I do after getting my mPanchang score?

Use the score as a starting point. If the score is above 24 and no doshas appear, you may not need more. If the score is below 24, or Nadi or Manglik dosha appears, get an expert verification. At Rs249, it costs less than most family discussions and gives you a written report you can share.
