Does reaching 18 settle the question?
No. In traditional Ashtakoot matching, 18/36 is a commonly used minimum reference. Below 18, look at which kootas lost points. Reaching 18 does not remove the need to read each finding.
Keep half-points as they are: 18.5 is neither 18 nor 19. The eight kootas contribute up to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 points. Manglik assessment is separate from that total.
Two arithmetic examples can both total 28: 28 points from the other seven kootas plus 0 for Nadi, or 20 plus 8 for Nadi. These are arithmetic illustrations, not real couples’ charts. The total alone cannot tell you the Nadi result.
